Context around 2020–2021:

• Cruzeiro had recently experienced a difficult period: relegated from Brazil’s Série A at the end of the 2019 season, they played in Série B in 2020 and again in 2021 after failing to secure promotion in 2020.
• The club was also facing financial and administrative challenges, with high-profile departures and restructuring off the field.

Head coach mention — Luiz Felipe Scolari (“Felipão”):

• Luiz Felipe Scolari, commonly known as Felipão, is a prominent Brazilian coach, World Cup–winning manager with Brazil (2002) and experienced at many clubs and national teams.
• Felipão was publicly linked with Cruzeiro in various media conversations at different times of his career, but he did not serve as Cruzeiro’s head coach during the 2020–2021 period.
• During 2020–2021 Cruzeiro’s main head coaches included Enderson Moreira (hired late 2019, left 2020), Fabio (Interim), Ney Franco (appointed late 2020), and subsequently other changes — Felipão was not in charge.

Summary: Cruzeiro is a major Brazilian club based in Belo Horizonte that went through on-field relegation and off-field difficulties around the 2020–21 seasons. Although Luiz Felipe Scolari is a high-profile Brazilian coach often mentioned in connection with many clubs, he was not Cruzeiro’s coach in that timeframe.
